The GYC membership year runs from March to February. Membership entitles you to full access to the Club facilities and water based activities. Non-members are not allowed on the water. Contact us for more information.

How to Apply

Members are also given priority to all events such as club parties, event bookings and sailing courses. Regular news bulletins are sent out to advertise events, boats for sale, etc. As a member you get to hear about these first.

Download or collect application forms at the Club Bar and fill them out with your details.
Email the forms to gaboroneyachtclub@gmail.com or deliver them back to the Club Bar.
Receive notice of your application and make payment for your membership package.
You will receive your new membership card and gain access to Club facilities and water.

Location

Leaving from Kgale circle, travel east, over the railway line. Just after the sharp 90 degree bend, turn right into the dirt road (there is a large sign), through the Water Utilities Corporation gate and follow the signs to Gaborone Yacht Club.

Alternatively travel south along Old Lobatse Road past the Department of Water Affairs and with Old Naledi to your right. After the first speed bump, but before the 90 degree bend, turn left into the dirt road, through the Water Utilities Corporation gate and follow the sign to Gaborone Yacht Club.
